Indonesia’s TransNusa airlines is now offering a new direct route from Kupang, the capital city of East Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) to Darwin (Australia) now available for passengers as of December 2019, Tempo.co reports. The new route is expected to bring in more international tourists to Indonesia’s East Nusa Tenggara region (NTT).
During an event in Kupang on Friday (11/29), the a spokesperson from the offices of the NTT Governor who is also the Head of the NTT’s Regional Secretariat of Public Relations and Protocol, Marius Ardu Jelamu stated that the new route is available at a strategic time as it will accelerate tourism and boost the region’s economy through tourism.
The route is now available as of December 2019 with the first inaugural flight carrying passengers and business partners from NTT to Darwin on the 3rd of December 2019.
“We’re delighted to have with us our business partners from East Nusa Tenggara who are joining in the first Kupang-Darwin flight. Our partners will pursue new business opportunities from Darwin, Australia to contribute to the economy of East Nusa Tenggara,” added Marius.
