The Soka Hot Springs is a natural hot water spring located in the Boba village, in the Ngada district of Flores, Indonesia. It is a special hot water spring; not only is it a fantastic tourist’s attraction and a great way to refresh and rejuvenate, it is said that the water of the spring contains the cure to a large variety of physical ailments. In addition, the area is surrounded by the most breathtaking sceneries and untouched nature. Being at high altitude also means cooler temperatures. To the north, you’ll see forest-covered mountains and to the south, the Sawu Sea. All in all, Soka Hot Springs has all the beautiful combination of elements for the perfect excursion.

The locals at Soka Boba declare that the hot springs have cured many of their ailments including skin diseases, stroke and obesity while increasing blood circulation. It is recommended that one should enter the springs slowly but surely and enjoy the heat as the water covers your legs, body and neck. If you’re looking to stay the night, there are two lodges located near the springs, offerings simple accommodations. The springs are extremely popular amongst the locals and will be a little crowded especially on the weekends.

To get to the Soka Hot Springs, you will need to travel on the Ende-Bajawa route, turn left at the junction of Malanuza and drive for 30 minutes towards Boba. Bring a local guide with you if you’re worried about getting lost!
