Seraya Island is situated north of Labuan Bajo and is easily accessible via boat. The island is about 1.3 KM long and about 200 meters wide and is part of the Komodo National Park. The island offers many water sports and you can go snorkeling, diving, fishing and canoeing. Around the island you can enjoy beautiful marine life, such as sea stars, tropical fish and tiny crabs. By renting a motorboat you can enjoy watersports or go sightseeing around the National Park. We recommend that you visit Komodo Island to see the Komodo Dragons, also dubbed as the last descendant of the dinosaurs.
On the island itself, there used to be bungalows situated which now has turned into accommodations for visitors; still it is very basic. A beach restaurant serves fresh food including fresh fish! All sorts of people visit the island from around the world. Do take into account that when visiting the island, mobile phones have no reception, which could be very relaxing! From the beach you relax by lying down in a hammock and just enjoying the white sand beaches and beautiful view. Since there is nothing to impede your view, you can enjoy the most magnificent sunrise and sunset.
