Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Rini M.Soemarno inaugurated a tourist vessel on the Ferry Boat (KMP) of Komodo Island and Rinca Island Pier of Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.

With the KMP Komodo, which is managed by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, the public and tourists can take advantage of a safe, comfortable and affordable sea transportation in Manggarai district, especially those wishing to head to Komodo Island, Padar Island, and Pink Beach.  Rini hopes that the presence of KMP Komodo and Rinca Island Pier will support the progress of tourism and economic growth of the local community.  KMP Komodo was designed as a tourist boat with a capacity of 80 people. It is equipped with comfortable facilities for passengers such as air conditioning, reclining seats, mini bars, entertainment services and prayer rooms. Each room within the ferry is designed to provide more comfort to its passengers. The KMP Komodo also comes equipped with an semi-covered rooftop area located on the top deck of the ship. In this open area, passengers can sit on wooden chairs while enjoying the beautiful views of the sea, Labuan Bajo and the Komodo National Park.

Additional facilities are also provided for passengers who want to sunbathe while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Labuan Bajo from the boat. It is expected to provide a pleasant travel experience for passengers, especially for tourists who want to visit.  The existence of the new pier also allows large-sized ships, including speed boats, to dock at Rinca Island.
